The Influence of Family Values and Ethnic National Identity to Multicultural Exclusive Attitude - Focus on the Mediator Effect of Sensitivity between Cultures -

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of family values and ethnic national identity of Korean on multicultural exclusive attitude, and the mediator role of sensitivity between cultures between these. This study has researched the valid 1,332 questionnaires from 1,425 by adults over age 20 residing in the entire country. The major findings were as follows: First, the direct effect of family values, ethnic national identity, and sensitivity between cultures to multicultural exclusive attitude showed that the more traditional family values is and ethnic national identity is, the higher multicultural exclusive attitude is. Second, the sensitivity between cultures only showed partial mediator effect between family values and multicultural exclusive attitude. third, the direct effect and mediator effect of family values, ethnic national identity, sensitivity between cultures to multicultural exclusive attitude were different in the sex and education group by multiple group analysis. These findings supported the importance of the necessity for extending program for improving multicultural education, sensitivity between cultures. And This result means that it is required to consider various accessing method depending on each sex and education group for decreasing multicultural exclusive attitude.
